RICK ALONZO

RICK ALONZO is an artist and evangelist who has devoted his life to God's service in 1992. Rick's unique and inspiring presentations feature him painting pictures that symbolize Christ's love. Set to contemporary music, Rick incorporates martial arts and gymnastics to demonstrate the power and grace inherent in God's word.

Using his hands and feet, Rick illustrates the Gospel and shares a message of hope for a lost and dying world.

Born in the Philippines, Rick came to live in the United States at the age of 12. After studying art from Long Beach State University, Rick returned to his home in Fresno where he worked for a nonprofit organization as their art director, teaching gymnastics and martial arts. It was during this time that Rick began to feel that something was missing in his life.

While humbly seeking the Lord's will for his future, Rick clearly heard God tell him that he was to use his artistic gifts to reach the world for Him.

For the past 18 years, Rick has traveled around the world preaching the Gospel wherever he feels the Lord leading him. He is as content performing in front of a small church congregation as he is in an arena filled with 40,000 people.

He has spoken at youth pastor conventions, camps and conferences, and for various youth groups. He has ministered through street evangelism, church services, Christian school assemblies, and television programming, including TBN's Leon Patillo Show and other cable programs.

Rick has been privileged to perform in the secular arena as well. In public school assemblies, he shares words of hope, love and racial reconciliation. He has visited juvenile halls to counsel hurting youth. Rick has also taken part in Special Olympics ceremonies.

Throughout his career, Rick has completed over 10,000 paintings, and his artwork is displayed across the globe. In addition to his artistic training, Rick has also studied the Bible verse by verse with Worldwide Ministry, and completed a 5-year equivalent training program in ministry and theology through Campus Crusade for Christ.

Rick resides in Central California with his wife, Michelle, daughter, Faith, and sons Gideon, Jaron, and Jude. His full-time job is as the president of Rick Alonzo Ministries, a non profit organization committed to evangelism utilizing the arts. In his spare time, he volunteers teaching art and self-defence to children.

In the near future, Rick hopes to open an art ministry school where he can train his students to use the artistic gifts God has given them to communicate the Gospel of Jesus Christ to a world in need of his message of love and salvation.

JEWELL FOLTA-MEYER

Founder Needs--n--Dreams Foundation, grew up in an impoverished neighborhood of Middletown, Ohio. She left school in the 10th grade. Years later, as a single mother of two boys, supporting her family as a school bus driver, she went back and achieved a GED. She then continued onto college completing her Bachelors in Biology, at Miami University and then a Masters in Curriculum & Technology. Jewell has dedicated her life to helping the under privileged both as a Biology Teacher and Volunteer.

Needs--n--Dreams is a non-profit foundation, dedicated to providing help to children in three primary need areas: meeting the basic and educational needs of impoverished kids, granting wishes to kids with terminal illnesses and easing the transitional burdens of critically ill children faced with extended hospital stays. We do this through, referral sources, donors, sponsors, and help from local communities.

Needs-n-Dreams extends help and support to children and families who would otherwise be living with insurmountable burdens. We give the kids a sense of pride and joy and something to look forward to.

Jewell believes that the smallest need can be the biggest dream...

KAYLEE FOLTA

Kaylee Folta is a 16-year-old High School junior from Florida. Like many 16-year-olds, she loves outdoor activities and swimming on swim team.

At the age of 3, Kaylee was diagnosed with Congenital Myopathy, a form of Muscular Dystrophy that prevented her from basic activities like running, roller skating or cartwheels. When she was 15, Kaylee was diagnosed with Cold Urticaria, an allergy to cold that could even be deadly and prove fatal.

Instead of letting these obstacles stop her, Kaylee decided to "turn problems into opportunities" as she sees a need for positive role models in our society where pop role models are often seen as spoiled or addicted to drugs and alcohol.

At 16, Kaylee is now founding a foundation for youth to recommend and recognize "Rockin' Role Models" around the world, and she is excited about being a positive role model and engaging youth around the world in her mission.

Kaylee comes to SAM to inspire the audience to feel comfortable in their own skin and never give up.

DAN MEYER

DAN MEYER is a unique performance artist who specializes in the extremely dangerous and very narrow field of cutting edge innertainment - Sword Swallowing!

In Dan’s words: “I enjoy performing REAL feats that people think are impossible, to demonstrate how incredible GOD made the human body, and to inspire people to do the impossible in their lives,” After growing up in Indiana as a scared, shy skinny kid teased and bullied by the bullies in Indiana, Dan Meyer vowed he would someday do the impossible and find meaning in his purpose and calling in life.

After being amazed while watching fire-eaters and sword swallowers -- first as a child watching circus sideshows in Indiana, and later as a missionary witnessing Indian fakirs in India -- Meyer became passionate about learning the incredible feats himself.

In 1997, learning that there were "less than a dozen sword swallowers left in the world", Meyer set on his quest to locate the surviving sword swallowers and master the ancient art himself. After four years of in-depth research and careful daily practice totalling almost 13,000 unsuccessful attempts, Meyer finally taught himself to swallow solid steel swords up to 30 inches long.

Meyer is the President of the Sword Swallowers Association International, A 7-time Guinness World Record holder, award-winning author of a 2-year medical research study published in the British Medical Journal that won him the 2007 Ig Nobel Prize in Medicine at Harvard, and avid historical researcher, devoted evangelist and passionate advocate for preserving the ancient art of sword swallowing, Meyer quickly became recognized as the world’s leading expert in the 4000 year old art of sword swallowing.

Meyer is in demand as the world’s top performing sword swallower who combines extreme feats with powerful messages from God, instead of just tricks and illusions Meyer has been featured on The Today Show, Stan Lee’s Super humans, Jimmy Kimmel, National Geographic, Forbes, British Medical Journal, Scientific American, Science Daily and Christian Activities.

Dan Meyer has performed and evangelised the word of God in colleges, universities, museums and at science, medical, corporate, family and youth events around the world. He has appeared on over 700 TV appearances, 800 radio stations, and 1000 magazine and newspaper articles seen by over 750 million viewers in 20 countries around the world.
